**The role**

We’re on one of the most exciting data transformation journeys in the industry, and we’re looking for an exceptionally driven **Head of Analytics** to help us, completing the senior management team, alongside the Data Management, Data Engineering, Data Science and Data Visualisation disciplines.

This role will drive the enterprise-wide analytics strategy and lead the teams responsible for providing the majority of the business’ insight-to-outcome analytics. This includes supporting the business in making (near) real-time retail and financial services decisions, driving a better understanding of our customer and business, performing complex strategic analysis, delivering actionable insights and proving incrementality through experimentation.

**What will you do as an Head of Analytics at N Brown?**
- Develop and implement the analytics strategy by engaging with stakeholders across the business, understanding and documenting their requirements
- Work in partnership with Product Management to prioritise requirements and create the enterprise-wide analytics roadmap aligned to our strategic pillars
- Deliver robust and immediate (near) real-time support to the finance, marketing, trading, financial services and logistics functions supplying them with the insight they need to make the best decisions in the shortest possible time
- Act as a focal-point for the hub-and-spoke analytics teams and identify cross-company opportunities to work collaboratively and share insight and techniques
- Establish and drive the internal data community, and manage the analytical outreach programmes including engaging with the wider Manchester data community and external stakeholders such as Universities
- Support stakeholders in understanding how analytics can enhance and accelerate decision making

**What skills and experience will you have?**
- Extensive experience working with enterprise data at leadership level, working with diverse stakeholders to understand analytical requirements
- Strong understanding of data analysis and associated statistical methods, and a good understanding of data visualisation
- Ability to take complex data and transform it into relevant, actionable insights for the business
- Excellent communication and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Be commercially savvy, focusing on performance and growth
- Experience designing and delivering data strategy and solutions
- A high level of retail and ecommerce knowledge

**Desirable**
- Excellent SQL and Python skills
- Experience with visualisation tools such as Tableau. PowerBI, Looker or ThoughtSpot
- High-level software engineering principles like version control, CI/CD and code review standards
- Experience of working with Data Lakes/Data Warehouses and associated technologies
- Knowledge of cloud-based (AWS/GCP/Azure) analytics platforms
