**_ The opportunity:_**

At Leonardo, we are looking for a Manufacturing Team Lead.

We have an exciting opportunity as a Manufacturing Team Lead in our Operations team to manage the manufacturing resource, assembly integration and test, within an integrated project team (IPT) to enable programme / project specific delivery requirements to be delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality levels, utilising key performance indicators to define and drive continuous improvement.

You will also be key in developing your team in line with the people management framework in order to meet the business requirements.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to be on site and may be required to work a 4 days on 4 days off shift pattern.

**_ What you’ll do as a _**_Manufacturing Team Lead_**_:_**

Process (Key Result Areas):

- Daily cross functional team meetings, Gemba walks,
- Implementation and effective management of KanBan, 5's, Visual Management, Lean, FOD Avoidance, ESD Protection
- Define and achieve the cell overhead and capital budgets
- Achieve the build & test cells contribution to the current account budgets (sales, profit, cash)
- Responsible for leading & managing assembly, integration and test activities within the Integrated programme delivery group IPT
- Responsible for yield improvement & non-value added process reduction
- Responsibility for process innovation & improvements across multi-functional teams

Resource Management:

- Manage staff training and development plans that improves efficiency
- Management of all the resources (equipment, documentation, facility and staff) to achieve customer (internal and external) satisfaction in terms of quality, cost and schedule.
- Responsibility for maximising people and equipment utilisation
- Time and absence management

People Management Framework:

- Deliver training and development plans for your employees

Performance Indicators:

- Schedule adherence
- Quality-Cost-Delivery ( DPU, UPC, Span) and associated burndown plans
- Utilisation as per planned integrated business plan budget
- People development plan in place for talented and high potential staff
- Key skills retention matrix managed and used to define potential single point failures.
- Repair costs & repair turn around time in line with forecast
- 5s plan achieved
- All health & safety & environmental plans are maintained
- Training & development plans for staff.

Manufacturing Systems:

- SAP

Additional:

- Adherence to all company health & safety standards.
- Business continuity plan exercised

As a Manufacturing Team Lead you will bring experience in the following areas:

- Good manufacturing background
- Knowledge of lean principles & knowledge of manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to motivate & support teams to deliver results
- Leadership experience including coaching and performance management
