Scarborough, United Kingdom Quest24 Care Services Ltd Full time

We are looking for experienced SEND Casework Officers to join us remotely on a placement in North Yorkshire.

SEND Casework Officers play an important role in improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). You will be joining the SEND Casework Team, which supports children and young people from 0-25. This is an exciting time to join an expanding team, as we develop our structure and approaches to supporting children and young people with SEND.

You will be required to work within the legal requirements of the Children and Families Act 2014 and associated SEND Code of Practice to ensure:

- Co-ordinated, person-centred, outcome focused and holistic Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment, planning and review.
- High-quality and accessible EHC Plans which identify appropriate provision and supports, with planning for key transition points.
- Statutory compliance, including statutory timescales.

You must be organised, motivated and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You must have an understanding of the impact of SEND on children and young people, and their families, and you must be committed to improving outcomes through the collaborative EHC process, ensuring that EHC Plans support progression through education and into adult life.

**You must also have**:

- Experience of complex SEN Casework and knowledge of statutory processes and procedures.
- A good understanding of the relevant legislation and guidance, and the ability to stay up to date with changes in legislation and guidance, as well as local policy and practice.
- The ability to coordinate assessments and analyse professional advice and information to produce person-centred EHC Plans.
- The ability to use transferable skills and knowledge to manage different situations.
- The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Good IT skills to support accurate and effective case recording.
- Strong communication skills, and able to meet the communication preferences across different groups including children and young people, parents and carers, schools and wider professionals.

An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service is required for this post.

Please note: This will involve working across different localities. The role will be remote working.
