Stakeholder and Public Affairs Officer

As a Stakeholder and Public Affairs Officer, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the communications Directorate.

The post holder will primarily provide and coordinate administrative services; including for example, preparing agendas and minutes, supporting the team with the management of projects, gathering information and arranging meetings as and when is necessary for the head of department, teams and the department. The post holder will be asked to:

- Lead on a range of administrative tasks to support the team
- Manage the team’s CRM system, be responsible for proactively updating and amending data, and contact information.
- Prepare communications to and distribution lists of stakeholders and liaise with communications colleagues and policy teams as appropriate.
- Please note that the reason for the fixed term of your contact is Short Term Vacancy.
- Be responsible for creating, running, interpreting and analysing queries from the CRM
- Set up and manage a log of MPs interest in NHS England policy areas using a range of sources including Parliamentary Questions and House of Commons debates.
- Assist in monitoring House of Commons debates, Prime Minister’s Questions and Health Oral questions in the House of Lords or Commons and prepare short summaries of key points.
- Manage the distribution of the team’s Parliamentary bulletin.
- Create high quality word and power point documents to incorporate briefing material for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the team diary - Ensuring all stakeholder events and parliament debates are in the diary so it is clearly visible when key events are on.
- Produce a weekly note of team activity and priorities
- Coordinate, quality check and submit daily summaries of team activity for senior management
- Manage the team inbox
- Produce very regular stakeholder insight reports and summaries
- Coordinate all team rotas for regular tasks

**In particular the post holder will**:

- Provide high quality project, service and administrative support including information and analysis.
- Show initiative and share ideas on how to improve how the team engages with stakeholders
- Undertake reporting and analysis of information to support delivery

Although not primarily part of their role, the post holder will have significant opportunities to be involved and develop experience in communications activity, stakeholder planning and briefing and political engagement.
