**Job Title: People & Workforce Manager - 37.5 hrs per week**

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust provides a range of elective, non-elective, surgical, medical, women's, children's, diagnostic and therapeutic services to a population of more than 300,000 people. The hospital opened in 1948.
The hub of the Trust is located on the outskirts of Nuneaton and its services cover a large footprint, including north Warwickshire, southwest Leicestershire, and north Coventry.
The Trust also provides a range of community services, delivered across Coventry, Warwickshire, and Leicestershire. These include sexual health and community dentistry services for the whole of Warwickshire as well as hosting the Blue-Sky Sexual AssaultReferral Centre.
**What you'll be responsible for**:
- To provide professional leadership and line management to all levels of People and Workforce Advisors within the team.
- To work closely with the People and Workforce Business Partner to ensure that the operational Human Resources service is consistently of a high quality.
- To ensure there is operational cover at all times of staff absence.
- To monitor the progress of employee relations casework within the team in-line line with agreed KPI's.
- As a senior HR Professional, the People and Workforce Manager is expected to be largely autonomous in the delivery of their role.
- To ensure 1:1/group supervision, appraisals and training requirements within the team are up-to-date and accurately recorded.
- To support staff wellbeing within the team.
- Escalate concerns and risks to the People and Workforce Business Partner.
- The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above._
**You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
**You'll have the following skills/experience**:
- Educated to degree level plus graduate membership of the CIPD (Level 7) qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in an operational HR role
- Experience of line management
- Previous NHS experience
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
