As a Community Engagement Advocate you will be an essential enabler for the delivery of the ambitions set out in Better Births, The Long-Term Plan, Equity and Equality Guidance for LMNSs, CORE20PLUS5 and the Ockenden recommendations.

You will proactively engage with partners and communities to enable collaborative co-production of maternity and neonatal interventions to improve outcomes for those women and families from Black, Asian and mixed ethnicity backgrounds, those from the areas of higher deprivation, plus socially excluded and other identified groups, who experience the greatest health inequities. You will ensure that the principles of co-production and effective service user and public participation are promoted and embedded within your work.
