AWE is currently recruiting for a Technical Trainer to provide technical training on all RBA processing operations to craft fitters and multi-skilled operatives.

Location - Coulport, Scotland

Package - £25,800-£40,000 based on skills and experience

Key Accountabilities:

- Ensure staff are sufficiently trained before recommending to the training supervisor/assessor that trainees are ready to be evaluated
- Ensure adherence to the regulations laid down in JSP 822, T2100, Coulport Procedural Guides and Coulport Control Procedures, Work Instructions, SWS Procedural Guides and Safe Systems of Work relevant to the work area
- Contribute to the achievement and maintenance of team performance targets, SQEP and enhancement of technical knowledge on the job
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental, quality, fire, security standards, regulations and legislation and highlight non-compliance to Line Manager
- Contribute to trainee's performance appraisals and personal development and training plans
- Maintain ‘train the trainer’ accreditation through the MOD Defence Training Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver training and coaching to craft fitters and multi skilled operatives on all Re-entry Body Assembly processing operations and Special Nuclear Material (SNM) processing handling activities within all work areas at RNAD Coulport
- Support line managers and craft trainers to ensure training is delivered in line with the training plan
- Prepare training for delivery using training processing completion reports
- Ensure craft fitters and multi-skilled operatives are trained to a standard acceptable to the assessor
- Maintain own competency and certification in all Re-entry Body Assemblies and SNM processing and handling activities to enable continuous delivery of training to employees
- Ensure employees training records are produced and retained
- Contribute to and complete assessments for competency
- Deliver training on new processes and amended processes or procedures
- Liaise with ABL partners and other stakeholders on training design, delivery, and competence assessment
- Train staff on all RBA processing operations, with due regard to health, safety, security, quality, and efficiency, and in accordance with approved documentation to a standard acceptable to the training supervisor/assessor
- Provide deck supervisor resilience support to EHJ operations if required
- Train staff on EHJ operations if required
- Support and contribute to FTPE and other audits as required.
- Ensure all appropriate training records and feedback are collated and stored as laid down in JSP 822.
- Provide a portfolio of evidence for instructor competence in accordance with the Defence Training Scheme assessment process
- Flexible to travel to the US and within the UK as required
- Willing and able to work shifts as required
