The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who is able to work in a flexible, intelligent and creative way within 3 of our Nursing/Residential homes. A self-starter who will be able to promote the caring reputation of Sabrina Health Care by ensuring all residents are encouraged, have access to and can participate at their will in a varied programme and range of activities. As an activity coordinator you will help Residents to socialise within the Home and provide a variety of activities that cater for all tastes. You will plan and initiate monthly rolling / individual programmes and encourage Residents to maintain pre-existing hobbies. encourage Staff Members, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Home's activities. Help to create an atmosphere that suits individual Residents within the Home. assist with fund raising, and budgeting, for entertainments, materials, and outings. maintain full and accurate records of daily activities using appropriate documentation and assist the Named Carer and Nurse to review and update Resident Care Files.

Communication

You must have excellent communication skills which include the ability to discuss the aims and objectives of recreation therapy with other Staff Members. report any changes in Residents' physical or emotional condition to the Home Manager or Person in Charge. Provide comfort and company, on a one-to-one basis, for Residents who are unable to undertake any form of activity. arrange / participate in Staff and Resident meetings, as and when required.

Health & Safety:
You are required to report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature, or accident incurred by a Resident, colleague, self, or another. understand and ensure the implementation of the Home’s Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures. report to the Home Manager, or the Handyperson, any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazard. and promote safe working practice in the Home.

General:
You must ensure that all information of confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties. You are to ensure the security of the Home is always maintained. adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales. ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained.

Travel Expenses:
Travel expenses will be paid

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour
