Hotel Services Assistant

The role will also assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

**The Principal Duties of the job are as follows**:

- Work within the Health Board, to undertake duties as designated by the Hotel Services Supervisor.
- Maintaining a high standard of environmental cleanliness
- To observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees;
- To prepare food and beverages in accordance with policy, procedures and legislative requirements;
- Undertake duties as per procedures in relation to the Regeneration from the frozen to cooked process ensuring the temperature of the product meets the required temperature;
- To and complete documentation as required e.g. cleaning and waste forms of others as and when necessary.
- To ensure that all documentation and procedures are maintained for efficiency and accuracy i.e. temperature of food and equipment;
- To Collate menu choice as per patient requirements after discussion and direction from the Hotel Services Supervisor in respect of the patient/Nursing Staff/Dietician requirements.

- To serve beverages at ward level in accordance with patient requests;
- To ensure all catering areas are cleaned in accordance with daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
- To ensure all areas are cleaned in line with the Housekeeping Standard Operational Procedures and the National Standards for Cleaning in NHS Wales.
- To ensure all areas are cleaned as in line with the Cleanliness Standard Roles, Responsibility and Audit Tool Procedure

In the event of a major incident or to support adverse weather or other Facilities services contingency, the post holder may be required to be called in outside of normal working hours to support the Facilities Services in the contingency actions when and where required.
