**Internal Communications Senior Consultant**

Join EDF as a Internal Communications Senior Consultant and you’ll deliver internal communications for Hinkley Point C, following a strategy across a range of channels, ensuring effective links and alignment across the project, EDF in the UK, EDF Group and suppliers. This is a critical role that inspires, informs and engages all those working on the Hinkley Point C project so that they work as one team, with shared values and goals, so that the project is completed safely, on time and budget and with high quality. This role will be predominantly focussed on Hinkley Point.

The HPC Communications team is a key part of the communications directorate for EDF in the UK. The team is responsible for internal communication with those working on the HPC project in Somerset, our UK and global supply chain and external engagement with those in the South West.

**The opportunity.**

As a Internal Communications Senior Consultant, you will be will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and implementation of all internal initiatives at site. Primarily responsible for leading the development and implementation of the communications strategy for the construction site and interactions with a wide range of internal/external stakeholders. They are the day-to-day communications contact for the site team for internal/site communications.

You’ll work closely with the Senior Internal Comms Manager and Construction Site Director and will be responsible for all Site workforce communications. The Internal Communications Senior Consultant will lead the Site Communications Network and be responsible for collaboration with our Tier 1 partners communications leads and trade unions representing the client, ensuring that changes to the project are communicated effectively to colleagues and to maintain employee confidence in business and decisions.

You’ll lead the implementation of a strategic HPC wide internal communications strategy and delivery of tactics for site workforce, working with Internal Communications colleagues across the project, supply chain and union partners across the workforce. This will ensure the effective engagement of people across HPC site through clear messaging and support campaigns related to business objectives.

**What we’re looking for**

Being a Internal Communications Senior Consultant at EDF means, you’ll be able to lead on delivering strategy around content and messaging that aligns with the wider communications strategy and understand and segment different stakeholders and audience and match to appropriate channels of communication. You’ll have the ability to interact and coach stakeholders at all levels from HPC lead team through to peers and front line staff and work closely with client internal communications team to ensure views are balanced and messaging is aligned.

You’ll have the ability to influence and obtain buy-in to communication plan proposals that meet business objectives and ensure effective communications to site team whilst balancing needs of suppliers and unions and client team. The Internal Communication Senior Consultant will demonstrate a good understanding of how large organisations work and able to establish appropriate routes to sign off where this is undefined.
