The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) is the national body responsible for all matters relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of economic crime across the NHS.

As the Associate Director of Operational Services, you will be responsible for delivering high quality counter fraud services that contribute towards the operational delivery of NHSCFA.

R eporting to Executive Director of Strategy, Operations and Data Analytics, this will be a key part of the Operational Leadership Team consisting of the Heads of Service for Operations and Engagement, Intelligence and Fraud Prevention and Performance, Analytics and Improvement. The postholder will be expected to provide tactical and strategic insight into the effectiveness of operational functions and ensure that programmes and projects across the entire operational spectrum are delivered and executed effectively and aligned to the counter fraud strategic objectives and our ambitious performance targets.

The postholder will work alongside the Board, Executive and Senior Management Teams to understand key business challenges and develop internal and external strategies using those insights to help shape and improve the counter fraud response for NHSCFA.

Interviews will be held on 26th & 30th July at our London office.

A strong background in one or more of the following disciplines - Investigations, Intelligence, Prevention, Analytics, Performance, Programme and Project delivery within a large, complex organisation, managing complex stakeholder relationships, driving a performance culture to improve operational outcomes is therefore essential.

The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) is the National body responsible all for matters relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of economic crime across the NHS. Aligned to the DH Health Group Counter Fraud strategy, the NHSCFA acts as the principal lead for the NHS and wider health group in counter fraud intelligence work.

Working to Government and Cabinet office standards, the NHSCFA Chief Executive, with the Authority Chair and Board will deliver cross system counter fraud capability to produce intelligence on fraud risks impacting upon or threatening the NHS and wider health group; and enable pro-active fraud detection to drive improvements to all aspects of counter fraud work across the NHS.
- Driving performance to meet financial targets and KPI’s and promoting a performance culture across operational services
- Ensuring all functions are resourced appropriately
- Ensuring our people within these functions are suitably trained and provided with professional development opportunities
- Delivery of the annual business plan and associated relevant activity
- Ensuring that new opportunities in response to changing threats are considered and appropriately actioned
- Capitalising on and progressing opportunities for the benefit of counter fraud impact in the NHS
