An opportunity has arisen for a positive and committed individual to work alongside a team of 18 people to play a key role in the day to day operations and organisation of Gloucester Library.
We are friendly and supportive and are committed to delivering a positive service, helping and signposting Gloucestershire residents, partners and businesses. We will support you through training and development, giving you the skills you need to meet agreed customer care standards.
**About the Role**
Library Assistants are the public face of the Library Service.We are looking to recruit one new Library Assistant in a part time capacity, working Wednesday to Friday taking responsibility for delivering an effective and efficient service. We are a creative, innovative team, passionate and committed to delivering and developing services to meet the needs of the people of Gloucestershire. You will be responsible for ensuring our customers have access to all the services the Libraries provide..
**About You.**
To be successful you will need excellent and proven customer service experience. We need you to be a team player with strong communication and organisational skills. Ideally you will have experience of working with or organising events for children and strong ICT skills. We need you to be flexible with a positive 'can do'. We would also like you to have a knowledge of the services libraries offer and the role they play in the community.
