**Your main responsibilities**

We currently have a vacancy for a **QA Auditor** to cover maternity leave in our Technical team. This post presents a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to progress their career within the Oscar Mayer group.

**What you'll be doing**
- Carrying out a taste as you go panel across a range of meals containing meat, fish, dairy and alcohol to ensure they meet the approved quality standards.
- The role is fast paced in an environment where the safety of all our colleagues is paramount.
- Collaborative approach with other departments to ensure adherence to site and legal requirements.
- Complete initial risk assessments of incidents, investigate and escalate as required.
- To ensure audits are carried out in line with pre-defined schedule.
- Ensure all food safety, GMP, legality and quality requirements are adhered to.
- To ensure appropriate product samples are collected as required.
- A proactive approach to identification and investigation of non-conforming product or standards.
- Communicate and provide information to customers and third-party auditors while on site.
- Carry out verification of process controls e.g. environmental swabbing.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is available to check process controls, verification of critical pieces of equipment e.g. daily line sheets, scales, probes, metal detectors, checkweighers.

**What key skills would be desirable**
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
- 2 years’ experience within quality assurance in the food sector.
- Good organisational skills and communication skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £27,300.00-£29,575.00 per year
