Role Responsibilities
- Build relationships throughout the organisation across operational departments to gain insight into the drivers of the current and future revenues
- Analyse complex financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and project financial probability
- Drive variance analysis for site P&Ls including commentary to support senior leadership understanding and decision-making.
- Build a monthly pack for management information supported by KPIs to enhance decision making
- Develop, implement, and analyse commercial and cost analytics, such as standard costings for performance of the business, customers, service line profitability of the site.
- Develop new approaches, processes, or methods to solve business problems, act as an agent of change and continuously re-evaluating process to achieve expecting earnings growth of the sites
- Coordinate with the project coordination team, planning, client services and operations to correctly estimate forecast revenue on projects, slippage level, risks factored in projects, and opportunities to mitigate downsides
- Collaborate with client services in analysing pricing and recommending updates
- As part of the month end process, provide timely and accurate revenue analysis to inform manual journals
- Drive the execution of the strategic planning and forecasting process. Provide the appropriate comments of variances to plan and forecast/ make adjustments
- Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis on revenue, operating costs, headcount, and capital expenditure
- Preparation and presentation of the annual budget and P&L forecast for areas of responsibility
- Responsibility for monitoring capital expenditure and co-ordinating capital expenditure calls with the business. Prepare the financial ROI template to support investment business cases
- Translate financial variance explanations into business actions for site management
- Work with Corporate Accounting, European Shared Service centre and Internal Audit staff to ensure site adherence to corporate governance standards regulatory requirements and to corporate accounting policies, practices, and procedures
- Ensure revenue recognition in compliance with accounting and contractual guidelines
- Assist with developing local strategic business plans for the business segment consistent with the established corporate goals and objectives
- Educate local leaders on budget management to support good understanding of their accountability and ownership
- Develop and oversee the implementation of training programs, including orientation, and, as appropriate, education to non-finance staff
- Provide information/commentary to the internal and external auditors as required
- Provide FP&A support to Divisional Finance Director to include ad hoc tasks or projects
