An opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Assistant to join an established and successful organisation based on the outskirts of Malton. This is a permanent position offering great career opportunities, and excellent benefits. This Logistics Assistant role would suit someone who is looking to develop themselves in a procurement role.

**In this Logistics Assistant role, you will be responsible for**:

- Visual inspections of goods in.
- Processing both goods in and out, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Ensuring all relevant records are completed and up to date.
- Raise and issue purchase orders when needed.
- Carrying out stock checks and advise Procurement & Logistics Manager when stock levels are lower than they should be.
- Liaising with suppers and negotiated if required.

The ideal Logistics Assistant will have some previous relevant experience in a similar role ideally within a manufacturing environment. Experience in working with materials and stock or within a supply chain/purchasing role would be beneficial. Excellent negotiation skills are essential, and you should have strong organisational and IT skills. You will be working Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays for a business that offers great benefits and career progression.

This role offers an attractive salary £22,000 - £24,000 and is easily commutable from Malton, York, Pickering, Scarborough, Thirsk and surrounding areas.
