We are currently recruiting for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our client, based in their lovely offices in Redditch. This is a full time, permanent role with amazing benefits and offering a salary of up to £32,000.

As a Senior Payroll Officer you will be responsible for providing a professional payroll service, maintaining accurate payroll records, ensuring all compliance, reporting and payment requirements are met.

**To be considered for the role of Senior Payroll Officer you will have**:

- Experienced payroll professional.
- Able to work accurately and cope with strict weekly and monthly deadline pressures.
- Attention to detail and logical with problem solving abilities.
- Experience of supervising staff.
- IT literate with payroll systems experience and excellent excel skills.
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of payroll and related matters.

**Main duties of the Senior Payroll Officer role include**:

- Manage the piecework system to ensure bonuses are calculated and paid correctly.
- Manage 2 weekly payrolls and a share of 8 monthly payrolls by the required deadlines, ensuring legislative compliance and payments are made on time.
- Complete full week/month end processes on allocated payrolls.
- Ensure all changes are authorised in line with company policy.
- Produce and submit FPS to HMRC for allocated payrolls.
- Process sickness absences for allocated payrolls.
- Assist with the processing and payment of all Third Party Payments.
- Ensure all Statutory Payments (SHPP, SMP, SPP, SSP, and SAP) are applied correctly for.
- Maintain and update payroll records on the payroll system.
- Assist with the administration and uploading of required data for the group’s pension schemes.
- Assist with the administration of P11ds ensuring all changes in company cars are submitted in real time along with all other updated benefits.
- Assist with full tax year end processes for all allocated payrolls.
- Provide full cover during periods of holiday and absence for all Payroll team members.
