Lead Clinical Supervisor- Stop Smoking

The post holder, who will have an excellent understanding of best practice, national, and local guidance, will work with local supervisors, where available, using a variety of systems that include care record audits and direct observations of staff on a regular and frequent basis. They will work with the Professional lead to ensure that staff remain fully current with CPD and training. Duties and responsibilities: Ensuring the quality of service delivery by frontline staff is in line with contractual, geographical and other organisational requirements in line with the overarching strategic aims. Being proactively aware of developments in the national stop smoking and public health agendas and how they are being adopted, with a particular focus on the current and future communities of services which we operate.
Identifying emerging shifts in regional policy and using this to ensure that frontline staff are actively adhering to high standards in line with commissioner expectations Working with Professional Lead, Operational and Business Development teams to ensure new business opportunities are translated into detailed project, staff development and onboarding, and implementation plans for the service(s). Being involved in clinical professional development of appropriate staff across the Stop Smoking devision. Ensure all stop smoking services operate the highest quality evidence based best practice delivery. Benchmarking services to maintain the highest possible standards.
Designing and delivering stop smoking and tobacco control training programmes to prescribed guidelines which includes effective and efficient use of pharmacotherapy to all grades of health professionals. Ensure appropriate and relevant stop smoking training updates are provided to all staff on a regular basis. Establish and continually develop internal networking and shared learning opportunities across all of our stop smoking services Supporting policy and standard operating procedure development and implementation across stop smoking services. Keeping abreast of relevant legislation and national policy guidelines; interpreting the guidelines and advising our Operational teams on all relevant updates, changes and required actions.
Ensure all stop smoking services practice in line with all relevant legislation regarding GDPR, information and clinical governance arrangements. Recommending changes to company policy where appropriate Analyse service data and support improvement plans in partnership with operations. Identifying trends and putting actions in place to continually improve services Work closely with the Professional Lead to put in place a comprehensive growth strategy and succession plans for stop smoking services across ABL.
