MECHANICAL PROJECT FITTER

Days 8am - 4:15pm
£32,000 rising to £36,700 when fully competent.
I'm currently assisting a reputable Engineering Company, that due to expansion are looking to hire for a Mechanical Project Fitter. This role will suit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or a Mechanical Fitter looking for a days based position, who enjoys gettinginvolved in Day to Day project work across a Manufacturing facility.
You will be working alongside a Maintenance team, and you will be responsible for the installation of Mechanical equipment across site, for projects and modifications.
Role Description
- Installation and commissioning of mechanical plant and equipment to current standards
- Monitoring the engineering stores, stock levels for projects, reporting any items for re-order
- Provide support to the maintenance team during planned maintenance projects / asset replacement and major plant breakdowns.
- Reporting on recurrent faults and facilitating repair activities with the Engineering team / supervisor.
- Reporting into the Engineering Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter / Engineer
- Level 3 Qualification in a Related Engineering Discipline
- Understanding of Engineering Drawings
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
