Are you hardworking, well-organised and looking for a new challenge in 2023?

The post is to provide a comprehensive, clerical support service to our Specialist G.P in Gender Identity, to enable them to carry out their duties in an effective and efficient manner and ensure efficiency in patient care.

You will need previous administrative and secretarial experience, outstanding organisational and communication skills; work well with staff and the public and must be able to demonstrate experience of working under pressure and to set deadlines. A general understanding and empathetic approach towards patients experiencing gender identity-related issues is essential.

Main duties of the job

- Provide comprehensive administrative support to Gender GP and /or the team as required.
- Assist in the organisation of medic workload.
- To liaise with other departments and patients as necessary.

A range of secretarial and clerical skills will be required to support the smooth running of day-to-day operational issues for the supporting clinical teams, thus enabling a whole team approach with the aim of providing outstanding compassionate care.

NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings, out in the community and within secured settings. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

For further information on the advertised role, please refer to the job description located under the Supporting Documents heading. The full person specification can be accessed under the ‘About You’ Section of the document.
