NET Professional are delighted to be partnering with a global business who are seeking an experienced Valuation Actuary to join the company on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join a global business and a chance to further develop your career. The company have many offices dotted across the UK but can offer a mostly remote working Hybrid role with regular visits to the office in Dorset.

**Desired skill set/ Personal attributes**:

- Ideally you will be a qualified actuary, but will consider qualification by experience and senior analysts
- Strong technical background and hands on experience in UK financial services of actuarial valuation and reporting
- Good understanding of the UK financial services market and economic environment.
- Good communication skills and presentation skills - able to communicate complex, technical information.
- Ability to motivate, organise and manage self to deliver to challenging deadlines.
- Desire to deliver a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ability to build strong relationships within teams to support achievement of objectives.
- Specific knowledge and experience of Protection products and reporting desirable
- You will perform the quarterly Solvency II and annual IFRS valuations, including analyses of change and capital.
- You will deliver all required results and disclosures to required quality (external audit and internal risk appetite) and timescales (internal and external reporting timelines).
- Supporting external audit to achieve audit clearance with no material issues.
- You will support methodology and basis review work, inputting requested information and assessing the impact of changes.
- Complete other BAU work as required, including regulator information requests, model UAT, ORSA inputs, agreed surveys, etc.
- Support colleagues across the business by explaining valuation results, answering queries, and providing insight. Develop and share understanding of experience variances.
- You will assist with capital initiatives and delivery of the business plan. Complete closed fund run-off projections and provide answers to ad-hoc queries.
- Support delivery of priority projects, including new products, product changes, technology upgrades and system migration, including data specification and testing.
- Identify and remove non-value add activity, and implement process improvements, liaising with the automation team to implement new tools and technology.
- Maintain compliance with all required risk control, management, and reporting requirements in line with risk appetite. Maintain up to date process documentation and EUC compliance.
