Your Company:
A highly successful, market leading financial services business has approached the team at NET Recruit to assist them on their search for an Actuary to join their team, operating on a hybrid basis in the Bournemouth area. This company have built decades ofsuccess and high levels of customer satisfaction and can now proudly say they are a top choice for customers in their field.
This role will sit in their Solvency team and will primarily support the wider business to help solve and prevent both simple and complex problems from arising and deal with them as they do. The position holder will be expected to act as an expert within theirfield and be talented at presenting information in such a way that they can advise numerous teams across the business to ensure the usual running of the function.
Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

- Giving your expertise to the valuation and financial planning & analysis teams.
- Promoting good risk management practices and ensuring all applicable policies are followed
- Assisting the team to resolve issues as and when they arrive
- Monitoring market and regulatory developments, ensuring their impact on your area is noted
- Providing training and supporting junior team members
- Identifying improvement opportunities across the finance function to ensure the team is working more efficiently
- Building effective relationships across the business
What you will need to Apply:
This company are searching for experienced professionals to enquire about this position, possessing several years of experience within a similar role. Specifically, it is required that you have financial services or investments industry exposure and also experiencewithin Solvency II. Ideally, qualifications such as FIA or FFA or equivalent are needed for this role. Soft skills include excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as being highly organised and self-motivated.
