Lincoln, United Kingdom Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust Eating Disorder service is going through a system wide mental health transformation programme in line with the Long-Term Plan (LTP). This expansion is planned to improve care delivery and parity of esteem between physical and mental health and ensure that everyone in Lincolnshire who is experiencing an eating disorder will receive a service. This is an exciting time to join the team when we are looking to expand our workforce and train more people to deliver eating disorder therapies across Lincolnshire.

We are looking to recruit a CBT Practitioner, which is one of the most effective evidence-based treatments for eating disorders and you will have a passion to support service users with an eating disorder to recover. Experience is not essential as training and guidance will be given to develop your expertise in this area.

During this training period you will attend Sheffield University one day a week, receive supervision from an experienced eating disorder professional to support the development and your understanding of the model.

You will work within a well-established team, however you will be required to deliver an autonomous service as part of your role, operating within professional guidelines and the overall framework of Trust’s policies and procedures.

You will provide assessment and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT/CBT-e) to patients who are referred into the Eating Disorders Service who present with an eating disorder, including co-morbid presentation of anxiety, depression, OCD and trauma related problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective.

To provide support, advice and supervision to staff working in the Eating Disorders Service in regard to implementing CBT/CBT-e based interventions. This will either be on an individual basis or within a group environment.

You will provide line management supervision to staff in line with service requirement.

To provide needs assessment and risk assessment, planning, and implementation and monitor effectiveness of interventions to adults with an eating disorder.

You will work with patients with different cultural backgrounds and should be committed to equal opportunities

You will actively encourage and support service user involvement and will support staff to incorporate Routine Outcome Measures into their assessment and therapeutic work.
