**Our mission and ‘what we do’**

We at GOVR aim to make virtual reality fun, social and accessible. We strive to create an excellent customer experience that is exhilarating and immersive. GOVR started out by putting on pop up VR events across Brighton, eventually snowballing into a permanent VR arcade in Brighton that ran for over two years offering exciting VR experiences, party services, workshops and VR art exhibitions.

After a brief hiatus due to the pandemic, GOVR is reopening its doors with a new bespoke VR experience in Hastings. Our new VR experience is based inside of the new "family fun factory" opening in Hastings this summer. The new amusement centre will feature a variety exciting facilities along side our VR attraction, including bowling, a cinema and much more.

**Job Brief**

**Responsibilities**
- Use the point-of-sales system to book in customers, take payments and check in pre-booked customers
- Operate the administrator computer to run VR experiences and operate and maintain each VR station where necessary.
- Welcome, guide and assist customers throughout their experience in a friendly and professional manner to ensure a satisfying customer experience
- Assist customers with putting on, handling and removing VR headsets and controllers
- Assist customers with any queries on using the VR equipment or playing the VR game
- Supervise customers as they play VR and ensure safety is observed
- Ensure an orderly flow of costumers from queue to play area to exit
- Maintain a fun and welcoming atmosphere at the arcade in line with the VR arcade’s theme
- Regularly clean and maintain VR headsets, controllers and play spaces
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the VR arcade
- Manage customer complaints appropriately and feedback where appropriate to management
- Assist in troubleshooting and fixing technical issues
- When more experienced, you may be expected to assist in the training of junior virtual reality attendants
- You may on occasion be asked to upload/create promotional content for social media

**Essential Requirements**
- Experience working in a customer service/facing role.
- Ability to deliver a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to learn how to operate and maintain our VR stations and how to deliver our VR experience. Training will be provided.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high customer footfall.
- Professionalism and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work Fridays and weekends.

**Desirable Requirements**
- Tech savvy with working knowledge/experience of PC-based virtual reality equipment and experiences.
- Experience working in amusement centres or attractions, VR arcades or non-VR arcades.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £10.00 per hour
