This is an exciting opportunity to join Croydon Independent Travel Training Team. We support young people and adults with Special Educational Needs and disabilities to learn how to travel independently on public transport. The travel training programme is a valued part of the SEN travel assistance offer.

Our aim is to promote a happy, healthy lifestyle and help participants in the travel training programme to learn how to manage the challenges faced when using public transport. The benefits of travel training go far beyond the use of transportation; as the positive impacts are far reaching and lifelong.

The role involves flexible working with some early morning starts and occasional evenings. You will work and travel across the borough and to neighbouring boroughs on public transport, as needed. You will develop and deliver tailored travel plans promoting safety and wellbeing at the forefront.

We are looking to recruit one full time travel trainer to be part of our friendly, supportive team. We welcome people with transferable skills who can demonstrate the capacity to relate to, and support young people and adults with special needs and/or disabilities.

Full time 36 Hours
