Protea Recruitment is working with a well-known Food Manufacturer in the West Midlands that is looking for a Process Technologist to join their team.

The main function of this role is to manage the successful transfer of all NPD concepts from the development kitchen to full factory scale-up. You will also effectively liaise with factory personnel and co-ordinate all factory trails and launch products whilst meeting customer specifications.

**Job Title**: Process Technologist
**Location**: Wolverhampton
**Sector**: Chilled
**Salary**: £35k to £40k
**Schedule**: Monday to Friday
**Main responsibilities**:

- To manage the successful transition of products from the development kitchen to the factory.
- Effectively liaison with factory personnel and co-ordinate all factory trials in line with customer specifications.
- Ensure all trials are accurately documented and stored for archive.
- Challenge and identify process solutions and improvements.
- Liaise with procurement functions to ensure the effective sourcing of raw materials.
- Launch products successfully and on time.
- Liaise with customers on product specification briefs and attend customer reviews when required.

**Skills required**:

- Degree or equivalent experience in Food Technology or Food Innovation would be great.
- Excellent knowledge of processes and equipment within a manufacturing environment.
- Confident in challenging processes and suggesting process improvement.
- Accreditation Food Hygiene or willing to work towards.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
