- The on target earning potential for this role is £23,594 annual salary, comprising a base salary of £21,294, plus a qualified estimate of £2,300 gratuities per annum

**Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role**:

- Working with our Porters team in daily duties, you’ll oversee and conduct the delivery and set up of our AV equipment in line with our guest requirements, both planned and ad hoc requests
- You’ll look after basic set up of TV screens for AV requirements such as visual display or zoom calls, microphone set up, music and spotlight setting
- Responsible for the delivery of continuous training for our Porters on the use of our standard in house AV facilities
- You’ll take the lead with onsite inventories for our AV equipment, reporting to Catalyst, our external provider and Head of IT
- Lead on the communications with Catalyst, our external provider, for larger events support
- Reviewing the business ahead and corresponding with the wider Private Dining & Events team to ensure AV & Porter coverage is well planned
- Placing orders for conference water and dry good supplies through our in house stores for meetings & conferencing
- Heading up the Porters team, you will be an essential player in the team; responsible for the set-up of our exceptional event spaces across the estate within the main hotel and outlying areas
- Responsible for moving and positioning a range of equipment from chairs, 6-foot tables to portable bars
- You take pride in maintaining the highest standards of service, room preparation and presentation throughout our spaces
- Managing your own time, ensuring you meet the setup deadlines, the following day or a quick room flip
- You will take a keen interest in the operation and develop suggestions as to ways of increasing quality of service
- Working with our teams, you are always professional, helpful, and doing everything you can to collaborate and support, playing your part in making our events exceptional
- Working flexibly, covering a variety of shifts each week, your primary responsibilities; arranging equipment, linen, glassware, and stock to ensure our events are perfectly set and ready to receive our guests
- Monitoring and reporting minor repair to maintenance and routine servicing of equipment; maintaining the cleanliness and presentation at all times of our guest areas, our stores and equipment
- Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations, playing your part in making their stay with us 5 star in every way

**The kind of person we're looking for**:

- Ideally, you have a standard knowledge of plug & play audio-visual technology including TVs, projectors, video conferencing and audio, however training will be delivered on our in-house equipment and systems
- You lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach
- Your genuine warmth and desire to support and exceed expectations shines through, having a great attitude is essential
- You are very reliable with the ability to take initiative and work independently, you have outstanding organisation, attention to detail and time management skills
- Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
