**SHIFT DETAILS**:
06:00 to 16:00 / 08:00 to 18:00 (Alternate Shifts)

**WHERE YOU WILL BE BASED**:
You will be based in our site in Chatham (ME4 4SW).

**WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?**

You will be experienced and computer literate to a high level with knowledge of software packages such as Mandata and Microlise being advantageous but not essential as full training will be given. As the team becomes established and grows shift patternswill involve weekend working and some lone working will be involved. Please see below a non-exhaustive list of day-to-day duties in this role:

- Planning, directing, and controlling the activities of the transport fleet
- Ensuring planned routes are in line with working time directive (WTD) and drivers’ hours
- Producing optimal transport plans and approving transport routes
- Assisting the Transport Planning Manager to ensure the department runs efficiently and effectively
- Monitoring the Transport Management software
- Liaising with our depots and customers as required on deliveries and any issues
- Ensuring the department complies with health and safety legislation
- Producing cost efficient operational transport plans daily.

- Previous experience working in a distribution environment
- IT Literate - Excel and Word are essential
