As a Solutions Architect - Command & Control you will be reasonable for.
- The C2 Solution Architect will have specific and substantial experience in specifying, developing and delivering Command & Control systems ideally for use in the Land Battlespace. Experience should include to mission analysis, requirements development, systemdesign, modelling and simulation, integration, verification test, acceptance and certification for both hardware and software aspects of C2 systems
- The C2 Solution Architect will be required to support in-service C2 system projects
- Undertake technical trade studies on C2 technology options
- Work with potential C2 System suppliers to understand the benefits, performance and growth paths for their product
- Understand the impact of the C2 systems on overall system behaviour and performance
- Understand the impact of the C2 systems on different solution architectures
- Technically review and challenge C2 suppliers on their products, reports and observed performance
- Maintain currency on C2 systems developments and relevant standards
- Understand nuances of communications system limitations and behaviours at system level
- Understand and develop at sub-system level, requirements and interface definition for any C2 interfaces
- Represent the Company at industry and customer events
As a Solutions Architect - Command & Control you should have the following experience and qualifications.
- Experience of designing, integrating and/or procuring Command & Control systems
- Experience of relevant communications mechanisms necessary to deliver the Command & Control mission, including ideally tactical deadline
- Experience of sensors being used to deliver Command & Control capabilities
- Experience of working with End User to understand their Missions, Roles and Objectives
Desired skills, qualifications and experience
- Experience of Ground Based Air Defence Systems
- Experience of Battlefield Management C4i Systems
- Experience of Battlefield Communications Systems & Networks
- Experience in the Verification lifecycle
- Experience of systems engineering lifecycle through the life of a large-scale systems development programme, ideally in the Command & Control domain
- Development of Verification & Acceptance (V&A) statements
- Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using IBM Rational Rhapsody or similar
- Knowledge of IT Network fundamentals.
- Change proposal assessment and embodiment
