**How much?**

We pay **£10,569** for first 12 months with annual incremental increases, as well as 25 days annual leave.

**When?**

You’ll work a** 37.5 hour week, **and your contracted hours will be between Monday - Friday 7.5 hours per day (**between 7am-5pm**) start and finish times to be confirmed.

As part of this role, you’re expected to attend college one day a week or for block release and complete the required assignments, along with any associated tests.

**Where?**

You’ll be based predominantly in your designated region, **Sheffield **but covering** South Yorkshire** too.

**What you’ll be doing**

As a Gas Apprentice, you’ll support the team in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and gas systems.

You’ll work alongside a fab team of experienced gas professionals, carrying out day to day gas repairs in our properties. You’ll help with installations and complete routine checks, learning on the job.

On top of this you’ll be attending college and passing all your related coursework and exams to gain your **Gas Level 3 qualification**.

**The stuff that sets you apart**

You’ll be the face of Yorkshire Housing to many of our tenants. So, respectful, warm and professional communication is a key part of this role.

You’ll also work closely with the compliance team in ensuring work is undertaken safely.

We’re looking for people who can tick most of these boxes
- GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above in Maths, English and Science
- A passion for learning, and growing your career in Gas (work experience in a similar role is a bonus but not essential)
- Good practical skills with a methodical approach to work
- Driven and self-motivated
- Passionate about doing the right thing, not the easy thing
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

**The fine print**

Our assessments are designed to help you show us your best and won’t be scary intense interviews held in stuffy offices. If you get through to the next stage, you’ll get to meet some of the team and find out more about Yorkshire Housing and the role as part of our assessment centre approach.

A basic DBS check will be required if successful - don’t sweat, we’ll sort this out once your successful.
