Student Welfare Officer

£22,777 to £24,496 (pro rata), NN14 6EP, 34.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Monday to Friday 8.30am till 4pm, Pension, Parking, Permanent, Immediate Start
Due to team expansion, a local establishment has an exciting opportunity for a Student Welfare Office to join a Student Support Team them. You will provide welfare care to students:
Providing high quality care, guidance and support for families and students experiencing behavioural difficulties
Building relationships and rapports with students, and building a safe, friendly, welcoming environment
Setting goals, and complying and motoring realistic individual plans, to hopefully improve behavioural habits
Championing achievements with students and family, and raising awareness with teaching staff
Communicating with families and external agencies to raise awareness of any issues, new or ongoing
Attending meetings internally and externally (home visits required)
Recording all information in a timely efficient manner
All administration duties related to the role
We would expect the successful Student Welfare Officer to demonstrate an excellent ability to build relationships and rapports with other, be a great communicator, with a ear and eye for detail. You will be supported 1 to 1 to become familiar with the establishment processes and procedures. This would be an ideal role for you if you have worked within Student Care Coordinator, Welfare Officer, or a Care Liaison Officer position.
You will be joining an establishment that originally open their doors nearly 70 years ago. Working directly with the Student Care Manager, this role offers variety on a daily basis. The organisation delivery outstanding educational services to their students and they are keen to recruit an evening a Student Welfare Officer who strives to offer the same.
