The recently integrated Nutrition, Dietetic and Weight Management Service in Aneurin Bevan UHB is pleased to include the role of a Clinical Dietetic Lead for Clinical Nutrition & Hydration within its structure. This is a new post supporting the Professional Dietetic Lead for Acute Services, whilst working with the wider MDT to ensure provision of high quality, evidenced based, timely and safe nutrition support and hydration to patients across the health board.

The post holder of this unique role will be a key member of the Clinical Nutrition and Hydration Group, engaging with key stakeholders in the development of health board guidance and policies. The role offers the opportunity to provide expert opinion, collaboration with key professionals to plan, implement and evaluate the health board's nutrition support and hydration strategies, and to represent the health board at national policy level

The post holder will manage a highly specialised team of dietitians within their clinical case load and will provide expert opinion and clinical supervision for highly complex cases across specialities within the health board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

**The post holder will**:
Independently manage a highly specialised teams of dietitians within their clinical caseload

Provide clinical and professional leadership for clinical nutrition and hydration to health board wide teams

Provide expert opinion on complex cases across specialities, utilising highly complex decision-making skills

Lead a rolling programme of audit and research into the management of nutrition support across the health board

Provide education and training to the multidisciplinary team across a wide spectrum of clinical nutrition support topics and skills and to an advanced level

Be responsible in conjunction with the wider MDT for service development agendas via clinical and service evaluation and improvement, including all components of clinical governance

Provide clinical leadership for the formulation of appropriate health board wide education and training programmes, for the clinical nutrition support service

Establish and maintain clinical links to national specialist interest groups and relevant advanced practitioner forums.

In conjunction with the Professional Manager for Acute Services, be responsible in ensuring staff within the service are safe and govern ant in their practice and delivery of services
