**Network Maintenance Craftsperson - Instrumentation

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in our network maintenance team. The department has recently merged with our Capital projects team, opening the path to lots of opportunity to develop further skills and work cross-functionally.

As our new Network Maintenance Craftsperson, you will be focusing on maintaining and calibrating instrument systems on a variety of gas sites owned & operated by NGN. The systems range from simple transmitter loops to fiscal metering systems.

This will a mobile role and can be based in either Teeside, Cumbria or North Tyne.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Standby 365 days a year on a rota basis ideally 1 in 4
- Variable work patterns (When required)
- Lone working out of hours
- Maintaining and calibrating instrumentation systems
- Fault finding on instrumentation systems
- Repair and replacement of components, fittings, and fixtures
- Completion of paperwork/systems for results and readings
- Commissioning of equipment
- Using IT in the field for work reporting
- Gas Quality work (development required for all)

**What we are looking for**:

- Relevant Electrical or Instrumentation Apprenticeship (City & Guilds) & NVQ
- Logical thinker, with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Proactive attitude: strong team player, whilst also having the ability to work on their own initiative
- Knowledge of codes of practice, engineering instructions and safety requirements
- Full UK driving licence.

**Desirable**:

- EUSR Gas passport
- COMPEX EX 01,02,03,04
- SCO 1, 2 and 4
- Experience on gas distribution systems
- EL6 sign off (Restricted Authorised Person)
- TIM 2,3,4
- HNC Level (Instrumentation)

- £36,032 rising to £42,345 + Bonus+ Van+ Overtime
- 41.25 hours per week
- Bonus (dependent upon achievement of set targets)
