We are looking for an experienced Associate Schools Developer to join our Learning and National Partnerships department. The purpose of this newly created role is to support with the management and development of our regional school partnerships and new school partnerships in the RSC's national Associate Schools Programme.

We currently have 25 Lead Associate Schools, approximately 200 Associate Schools and 12 Associate Regional Theatres, reaching approximately 140,000 children and young people. This postholder will specifically support the growth and development of our relationships and work with partner schools in Warwickshire, the Midlands and schools nationally. The postholder will also oversee the growth and development of pathway schools, who are on a trajectory towards joining the Associate Schools Programme.

This is a full-time, permanent position, which reports to the Programme Lead - Associate Schools Programme, where key responsibilities will include:

- Effectively managing relationships with schools that are interested in joining the RSC Associate Schools Programme by supporting their development
- Managing relationships with Lead Associate School clusters across the UK, supporting their ongoing development
- Co-creating and developing vibrant programmes of work, such as Artist residencies, that respond to school needs and provide transformational experience of Shakespeare's work
- Evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness and impact of the programmes
- Building and sustaining successful relationships with teachers, members of senior management, theatre partners, RSC artistic and other theatre artists
- Providing regular reports on the impact of the work in partner schools
- Working within RSC health and safety, data protection and Safeguarding guidelines
- Ensuring the work you create combines both educational and artistic excellent, drawing on the resources of the RSC and exploiting them to the best advantage of the programme
- Ensuring that all practitioners delivering work on the programmes you lead on, are appropriately trained and equipped to represent the RSC's work

You must have the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines, alongside a commitment to making a difference to equity, social justice, diversity and inclusion, through the transformative power of the Arts and theatre. This role is perfect for someone with a love of schools, education and the complexity and challenges that this sector brings; building lasting working relationships and good rapport with teams, creatives and stakeholders should come naturally to you.

This is a full time, permanent role, which requires extensive travel throughout the UK. Whilst this role is based in Stratford-upon-Avon, there is the opportunity to work remotely.
