Our client who has brand new state of the art premises in Havant is looking to recruit an Assembly Manager, initially on a 3 month contract, which could be extended.

**Role and responsibilities**:
Responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of Assembly, ensure production targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met in order to meet

the requirements of the customer.

Provide leadership and management to the team, through the Supervisors and Team Leaders with a culture of working safely using Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) techniques. Ensure that there is a focus on individual performance and development, providing supportand training to achieve high standards.

**Specific responsibilities**:

- Responsible for effective and efficient deployment of people and resources to meet delivery requirements, while achieving safety and quality standards
- Lead the objective setting and identification of training priorities for the team with input from Supervisors and Team Leaders
- Ensure that regular 1-1s and mid/end year reviews are undertaken, with appropriate feedback and support provided to colleagues
- Oversee day-to-day communication of priorities to achieve production throughput against stated capacity targets
- Lead the adherence to procedures and instructions and ensure that team members follow defined assembly procedures and comply with quality requirements
- Ensure equipment is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly
- Responsible for all records being completed appropriately
- Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated and that the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed
- Manage work order closures and stock control transactions
- Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure
- Monitor change over and/or line set up efficiency
- Undertake continuous training and development
- Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation and perform root cause analysis and 5 whys to resolve problems
- Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, key performance indicators (KPIs) including the engagement of external resources as required
