Our client is currently resourcing for a Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to work as part of their team in Wallsend on a Contract to Permanent basis starting asap
You will be on an attractive salary, depending on experience.
This is a full time role 42 hours per week, with flexibility to cover the business needs.
As a Supply Chain & Procurement Manager, ideally you will be experienced in leading a large team.
Procurement & Purchasing
- Control suppliers pool (Relationship management)
- Set Up contracts / POs / SLAs
- Project Purchase: Purchase and follow up (BOM / Call off)
- Negotiate with suppliers about price, terms of delivery and payment conditions
- Propose investments versus Hire
- Discuss deviations with suppliers
- Check and approval of invoices (POs / SLAs / Contracts)
Knowledge / Competences:

- Cost control of large scale projects regarding orders and the terms of delivery
- Market Of supplies
- Functioning of purchasing, internal purchasing procedures and administrative order processing
- Understanding of computer systems and conversant with MS Office, ERP internet/Intranet
Essential Requirements:

- High attention to detail and levels of concentration and remedy errors quickly and efficiently
- Great communication with confidence
- Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines with highest accuracy
- Business savvy and commercial awareness of purchasing function and impact on the organisation
- Analytical with good numerical ability and problem solving
- Relationship development skills
