**Job Title**: Business Change Specialist Lead

**Salary**:£54,460 to £66,356. Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

**Location**:We want to provide you with the flexibility to balance a rewarding career with home-life and personal wellbeing. You should expect a blend of office and home working, including one day working out of our base location (40-42 Newlands Park, Sydenham, SE26 5NF) and at least one day working alongside your team based in the wider MPS estate.

**This is an exciting time to be working for the Strategy and Transformation team, who are at the heart of supporting the Met’s reform agenda. This means that there are a vast range of opportunities for you to get involved with improving the Met and delivering on our core mission.**

**Job Role**

**Key Responsibilities-**
- Working within our most complex projects or programme to lead, champion and implement Business Change activities, from scoping, change impact all the way through to transition to bau.
- Ensure these plans are knitted together with wider picture of change for the organisation and join up plans and mitigations where it makes sense.
- Monitor progress against Business Change plans, adapting as needed and ensuring that activities in the plans are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Be part of a centre of expertise in Business Change within the Met, providing change expertise to leaders, upskilling officers and staff and providing guidance, sign-posting and good practice support to others
- Line manage and develop junior business change professionals and the wider project delivery teams across the Group.
- Contribute to the continual development and refinement of the Business Change approach.
- Share learning across projects and programmes with other members of the core Business Change team and wider change community.
- Ensure integration and consistency of standards and approach across Business Change and the transformation portfolio.
- Complete specific Business Change activities ensuring effective use of the agreed Strategy and Transformation Business Change approach, tools and templates.
- Provide support and coaching to the Business Change Manager and team members in the planning and delivery of Business Change activities including coordination and facilitation of meetings and workshops.
- Report on Business Change progress against the defined plan
- Proactively identify, and where possible resolve, Business Change risks or issues and contribute to business change themes emerging at an organisational level.
- Bring programme / project level insight to the mapping and assessment of Business Change impact and risk across the portfolio.

**Essential Criteria/Experience**

**Experience**
- Experience of leading in a large and complex organisation
- Experience of influencing, negotiating with, and providing challenge to management-level stakeholders
- Experience of building capability and supporting an environment of continuous learning for those new to working in projects and programmes
- Experience of contributing to a collaborative team culture and an environment of continuous learning
- Experience of working within Business Change, or a connected area, and developing own expertise

**Qualifications**
- Professional qualification in relevant field is desirable, or willingness to work towards it and/or Professional and/or graduate qualifications in business management or similar field, APMG Practitioner or PROSCI qualification is desirable.
