Recycling Operative

**About The role**

**Location: Waterswallows, Buxton, Derbyshire**
- Salary £21,956.75 per annum / £10.52 per hour
- Working 40 hours per week
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday
- Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Sunday
- Overtime rate X 1.5 Monday to Saturday, X 2 Sunday when outside of your working rota.
- Bank holiday working a must if part of your working pattern. Bank holidays paid at X 2 plus 1 day in Lieu.

**Requirements**:
Valid Loading shovel licence will be a distinct advantage, previous loading shovel experience advantageous. if neither held then the applicant must be least willing to be trained on mobile plant which will come with an uplift in hourly rate of pay once trained and competent.

**What will I be doing?**

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.

The role will involve:

- Providing excellent levels of customer service.
- Maintaining a tidy site within your areas of responsibility.
- Advising and assisting the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials deposited in the sites and divert waste from landfill.
- Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site and other administrative duties as required.
- Ensuring our business complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by your actions or omissions.

- A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
