Due to an internal promotion within the team, we are now looking for a Finance Assistant - Accounts Payable to join this stable team. As Finance Assistant - Accounts Payable you will be the key point of contact for all accounts payable transactions and queries.The head office is based just outside Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. The role is offered on a fulltime or part time basis (28 hours plus) and offers flexible hybrid working.

**Purpose of the role for the Finance Assistant - Accounts Payable**

Responsibilities will cover processing purchase invoices, employee expenses, issuing invoice approvals, creating weekly and ad hoc bank payment files, liaising with internal contacts and suppliers to resolve queries, reconciling supplier accounts and maintainingsupplier contact data.

**Key Responsibilities for the Finance Assistant - Accounts Payable**
- Scanning and electronically filing invoices and support evidence
- Inputting and matching purchase invoices and credit notes onto accounting system
- Issuing invoices and credit notes for approval, following up overdue
- Processing employee personal and corporate expense returns
- Issuing claims for approval and following up to ensure prompt payment
- Highlighting claims which are outside of the expenses policy
- Coordinate electronic payments on the accounting and payments system
- Timely processing of direct debit payments
- Provide weekly summary of payments awaiting clearance and submission
- Timely, accurate completion of routine reconciliations in Excel and proactive resolution of queries
- Review supplier statements and follow up with suppliers to resolve and queries
- Support with Audit and year end support

**Key skills, attributes and experience required for the Finance Assistant - Accounts Payable**
- Experience working in a finance department or operational department working to processes
- Previous use of accounting system(s)
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- Confident working with numbers, high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
- Quick learner able to follow processes and escalate queries where required
- Strong work ethic, positive pro-active problem solver
- High level of professionalism and awareness of receiving confidential information
