Technical Assistant Adt

**The job itself**:
The Governors of Bridlington School seek an inspirational and talented Technical Assistant to join our large, highly successful and friendly ADT Team as soon as possible.

You will:

- be deployed to support the Technology and Engineering areas of the department as directed by the Head of Department
- be adaptable to work in all areas of Art, Design and Technology including Food
- hold positive values and attitudes and adopt high standards of behaviour in a professional role
- share and communicate the values and ethos of the school to strive towards ‘Outstanding'
- have excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills
- support lesson preparation including preparing materials, equipment and ingredients
- provide in class support for teachers in practical lessons
- provide clerical support, including photocopying, filing and compiling booklets and worksheets
- maintain classroom displays
- undertake equipment maintenance and safety checks including troubleshooting, cleaning machines, changing renewable parts including needles, discs and dust bags
- be responsible for stock control and ordering
- be a good role model for students
- be able to develop a relationship with students, which is professional, firm, fair and caring
- be able to implement school policies
- undertake first aid and relevant Health and Safety training specific to allocated duties
- organise and maintain documents including Health and Safety records, orders and machine maintenance

Hours: 19.5 per week during term-time plus training days as part of a permanent contract.
