**Job Description**:Night Shift Leader - Residential Building.

**Hours**:9 hour shift between the hours of 16:00 and 07:00 with a 1 hour break.

**Shift Pattern**: Shifts on 5 out of 7 days.

**Reports to**:Estate Manager.

**Location**:This role is a multi-site role at Deansgate Square, Manchester City Centre, where you will primarily based. Responsibility will extend to other buildings in the New Jackson estate where you will be expected to divide your time between the other New Jackson sites, Elizabeth Tower/Victoria Residence/The Blade /Three60.

**Position Overview**:
The Night Shift Leader plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation, security, and resident satisfaction within the property during overnight shift hours, focusing on front of house concierge operations and building safety and security. this night shift leader provides leadership to all members of the night team and is responsible for leading the team during assigned shifts including concierge, security, housekeeping, and facilities team members. The role will include operational tasks, coordinating the team to deliver the best resident experience, executing contingency plans, resolving resident complaints, carrying out safety and security checks, reporting maintenance, and promoting a safe and welcoming environment for both residents and team.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Team Leadership
- Supervise and lead onsite team, including housekeeping, security personnel, contracted agencies and concierge/front desk staff.
- Delegate tasks, assign responsibilities, and ensure that all team members adhere to their roles and duties effectively.
- Ensure team are delivering brand standards as outlined by our client.
- Review and feedback to management team on productivity and efficiency, recognise achievements and offer guidance and methods for improvement where necessary.
- Complete start and end of shift checks.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.

2. Operational Oversight
- Oversee the nightly operations of the building, including security protocols, housekeeping, maintenance checks, patrols and resident services.
- Ensure the 24 hour operation is fully staffed at all times, utilising agency and team to cover holidays and sickness. Maintain any time keeping records at site.
- Complete on-site testing as required.
- Monitor the building's systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) to ensure they are functioning properly. Report repairs or maintenance as necessary to the Estate/Property Manager.
- Address any operational emergencies or issues promptly and effectively, ensuring mínimal disruption to residents.

3. Resident Interaction
- Interact with residents in a professional and friendly manner, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests.
- Ensure that resident complaints or requests are resolved promptly and to satisfaction.
- Promote a sense of community by encouraging resident engagement

4. Security and Safety
- Ensure building security protocols are being followed, including monitoring access control, surveillance systems, and visitor management.
- Complete on-site testing.
- Respond to security incidents, alarms, or breaches in a calm and effective manner, coordinating with security personnel and local authorities when needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to access condition, identify and address safety hazards or potential security risks.

5. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain and communicate accurate records of building operations, repairs required, incidents, and resident interactions.
- Generate regular reports detailing shift activities, noteworthy incidents, and any ongoing issues requiring attention of the Estate Manager.

6. Training and Development
- Provide training and guidance to new and existing team members, ensuring they are knowledgeable about their responsibilities and safety procedures.
- Promote an above and beyond service delivery attitude across the team.
- Identify opportunities for skill development within the team and work to enhance their professional growth.
- Utilise performance improvement plans and return to works.

**Requirements**:

- Problem solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure, taking into consideration all stakeholders.
- Knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
