DHL, an award winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to play a vital role ensuring continuous improvement of planning processes within the transport department.

**WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?**
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will
- Create routes and allocate vehicles, alongside Driver resources to meet planning deadlines
- Support the Planning Manager in Plan/Do/Review calls
- Provide real time monitoring to ensure that work is being completed by the local transport offices
- Ensure that work instructions and standard operating procedures are followed and check list is adhered to
- Development of pre-build activities
- Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement

- Operational Planning experience **(Essential)**:

- Excellent knowledge of planning principles
- Good critical thinking skills
- Able to communicate at all levels, internally and externally
