Context of role: The role is in the Supported Advice Team and is based in our offices in Bury St Edmunds, but you may need to work from one of our other offices. You will be working with and reporting to the Operations Manager. The role will be supporting clients who have poor mental health.

Role Purpose: The post holder will provide advice and casework to clients primarily on benefits, debt, housing and employment with the aim of improving their mental health and wellbeing. They will refer clients to other specialists within Citizens Advice West Suffolk and to external organisations for additional support. They will help to administer our evaluation processes (training provided); and to contact our clients to complete short surveys and to record their feedback on our service.
- Terms and conditions Hours: 30 hours a week (job share considered) Salary: £19,226 per annum actual
- Employment Status: One-year fixed term.
- Base: Bury St Edmunds.
- Pension: Eligible employees will be enrolled into the workplace pension scheme with NEST - 3% employer and 5% employee contribution.
- Contractual Sick Pay to include SSP: 4 weeks full pay and 4 weeks half pay on a rolling 12-month basis, after completion of the 6-month probation period.
- Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks per annum to include bank holidays.
