Intensive care is a 9 bedded mixed Intensive Care and High Dependency Unit, catering for elective and emergency patients of all specialities.
We are looking to appoint a ward receptionists with good organisational skills to work as part of the existing team.
You will be expected to perform general clerical duties on a daily basis and will liaise with colleagues, patients and their relatives sometimes in sensitive circumstances.
You will be qualified to GCSE level or equivalent including English at grade C or above and should have experience of working in an acute healthcare setting.
Good communication skills are essential to this role.
You should be computer literate as Intensive Care, Pilgrim has a computerised Patient Information System
A basic knowledge of Medway is desirable.
To provide a multi-faceted, administrative function to the ward, supporting nursing and medical staff in the smooth day to day running of the ITU.
To carry out administrative duties as part of a Ward Team to ensure patients and relatives receive the best possible service.
To ensure real time bed management on all patient computer systems.
Assist in facilitating admissions and discharges
Liase with MDT
