Hobson Prior are looking for a Head of production (Radiopharmaceuticals) to join a medical device organisation on a permanent basis located in Dunstable. Our Client is focused on producing technologies and products to empower healthcare providers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- For this role, you will ensure compliance with quality assurance systems, local regulations, and corporate requirements within the production department.
- Participate in site management meetings as a representative of the Production department.
- Promote the development and enhancement of Production operators' skills.
- Ensure that all products are produced, stored, and quality controlled, including approving instructions and following procedures.
- Review, approve, and report incident reports regarding outsourced production activities to the regional QA/RA team.
- Conduct investigations and root cause analyses for deviations and complaints, validate production facilities and equipment, and manage bioburden programs.
- Update the Site Manager regularly and act as the company's main contact for all production-related matters.
- Be available to cover all production related activities when needed.
- Manage the allocation of labour in accordance with the labour plan and holiday approvals.

**Requirements**:

- An understanding of pharmaceutical production, preferably with at least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- An understanding of radiochemistry or a related scientific field.
- Understanding of radiochemistry, PET radiopharmaceuticals, and licensing procedures for EA.
- A working knowledge of SOPs and an understanding of the business landscape, including competitors, is essential.
