Leeds, United Kingdom Yorkshire Building Society Full time

**_Regulatory Reporting Lead - Data & Regulatory Reporting_**

**About the role**

An opportunity has arisen to join the Data & Regulatory Reporting team in the Balance Sheet Control department for a Regulatory Reporting Lead. In this role you will be directly responsible for the leadership and guidance of the appropriate end-to-end process for regulatory reporting and ensuring that process is embedded in the business. The focus of the role will primarily be on the regulatory reporting submissions owned by the Balance Sheet Control function and will initially concentrate on standardised capital management.

On a local level (within Finance) you’ll act as a regulatory reporting SME and consultant on best practice. Ensuring the Society maintains an up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and returns, maintaining extensive external horizon scanning and centralising horizon scanning activity, communication, and monitoring

Alongside the day to day, you’ll act as the day-to-day project lead and support the Senior Manager to develop the regulatory reporting framework and deliver change.

**About you**

You’ll need extensive knowledge of finance regulation, and associated regulatory reporting, relevant to the Society and be able to evidence experience of delivering change. Ideally, you’ll be methodical and well organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver to deadline.

This’ll be coupled with knowledge of the areas in Balance Sheet Control such as capital management or liquidity. Ability to convert strategic priorities and goals into operational plans and excellent self-management skills would be an advantage.

It’s a leadership role, so some experience of managing a team would be great but it’s not essential as we can support you with that. You will, however, need to be passionate about delivering change and leading a team.

**About us**
