**Job overview**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a cheerful, friendly and patient focused individual to join our team of experienced Receptionist/Team Clerks and the wider administrative and clerical team.

The successful post holder will be required to work at The Basset Unit, Longreach House, Redruth to provide an efficient reception and administrative service to the West Integrated Community Mental Health Team and Dementia in Older People's Mental Health Service.

The post holder should demonstrate a caring and sensitive approach to their work and be able to clearly communicate with colleagues, patients, carers, the general public and representatives from other hospitals and organisations.

Essential skills required for the post include - excellent telephone manner, strong interpersonal skills, excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks, effective time management, the ability to work calmly under pressure and to have some office/clerical experience.

Longreach House site offers free staff car parking on site, with close by public transport links.

This is a part-time post working 15 hours per week on a Monday and Tuesday 8.45 a.m. - 5.15 p.m.

**Main duties of the job**:
To communicate with a wide range of people including service users, professionals, carers and the wider NHS community.

To undertake reception duties including front of house and accurate message taking from patients, carers, work colleagues and other organisations.

To ensure up to date information is displayed and available for patients and visitors.

To undertake typing duties as required.

To ensure external and internal mail is processed efficiently.

To maintain and manage room booking system.

To provide cover for other administration colleagues within the wider team as necessary, e.g. attend meetings, take and transcribe minutes, follow through actions noted and disseminate information as required and where necessary.

To be able to use RiO, the Trust’s electronic health record system. This will include checking data for accuracy and to ensure it is recorded and synchronised correctly, scanning and uploading clinical information as required.

To accurately input and retrieve information from the Trust’s computerised Information Systems.
