G Cook & Sons Ltd was founded in 1887 is a family run plastering contractor. We operate through out East Anglia and London, specialising in Heritage and Decorative Plasterwork. We are seeking a trainee or junior estimator/construction manager to join the team and assist with many aspects of the business focusing on estimating.

This position is open to all Junior levels from school leaver apprenticeship schemes to post grad Estimators. Salary will be dependent or experience and training requirements. Depending on current qualifications apprenticeship or higher education (HNC/D or degree courses) training programs will be offered.

Main role:

- Preparation of quotes to both domestic clients and contractor
- Procurement of materials
- Liaising with suppliers and customers
- Entry of invoices to computer system

Skills required:

- Good communication
- Excellent numerical skills
- Computer literate - Competent with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Good attitude to work - hardworking, driven, with an interest in construction (ideally conservation construction)

Other:

- No previous construction experience is required, but we are open to applicants with experience
- Driving licence is preferable, you will need to be able to get yourself to our office in Waterbeach and if applicable the relevant college for your course
- There maybe some opportunity to overlap this role with some bookkeeping, so experience in using Sage would be desirable but not compulsory.

- GCSE or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- surveying: 1 year (preferred)
