Due to this we now seek a highlyskilled and experienced Estimator who will play a crucial role inaccurately assessing project costs and providing reliable estimatesfor construction and fitoutprojects.

About therole:

The ideal candidate shouldhave proven experience in construction and/or fitout estimatingwith a strong ability to read and understand drawings. We requirethe following Key Responsibilities andexperience:

  • Maintain and developclient relationships.
  • Maintain subcontractorand supplier databases.
  • Assess tender documentsto ensure sufficient information available to prepare tender andsend out RFIs where required.
  • Prepare and issuesubcontract enquiries and assessment of quotations uponreturn.
  • Arrange and coordinate siteinspections/surveys.
  • Put together a tendersubmission perform risk analysis and review with Senior EstimatorCommercial Manager and Sales Lead.
  • Submittenders on time and follow up.
  • Work with theSales Lead on D&B projects.
  • Puttogether a detailed and accurate scope of work forpricing.
  • Work with subcontractors to ensureaccurate scope of work.
  • Pricing and preparationof a tender bid with the Sales Lead.
  • Posttender queries clarifications andnegotiations.
  • Posttenderanalysis.
  • Preparation and handover to theproject team on successful tenders.
  • Attendpostcompletion washup meetings with the projectteam.

AboutYou:

In addition to the above itis highly beneficial if you possess the knowledge and skills notedbelow:

  • Proven experience inconstruction and /or fitout estimating with the ability to read andunderstand drawings.
  • Strong understanding ofconstruction processes.
  • Ability to meet strictdeadlines and multitask.
  • Proficiency with MSWord Excel and Project.
  • Experience with Eque2Evaluate and Stratosphere takeoff software would be an advantagethough not essential as training will beprovided.
  • M&E experience desired butnot essential.
  • Excellent communication andnegotiation skills.
  • Dedicated wellorganised andreliable with great attention todetail.
