The Control Systems Engineer job itself where you will be responsible for producing the Control System Engineering deliverables for a sub-system or project. This can involve creation of documentation such as Software Specifications / Functional Design Specifications,concept design of the system and control system architecture, detailed design, writing of code / programming PLC’s / SCADA, supporting bench testing of the software, commissioning and final testing.More specifically:

- Producing technical solutions to complex engineering problems (may involve project or sales work), this can include concept design, detailed design, calculations, analysis, and technical reports / documentation. - Take ownership of the tasks assigned throughto successful delivery within the specified time, budget to the specification and required quality standards. - Take direction from Lead / Senior Engineer and Product Technical Lead where required. - Ensure that design practices / guidelines are followed.Reports to a Senior Engineer Responsibilities: Technical: - Execute design tasks in accordance with direction and guidance from Lead and Senior Engineers, this can include but not limited to concept and detailed design tasks, supporting calculations, writingspecifications, writing of code, creation of SCADA / HMI screens and developing BOMs as required. - Ensure that product safety is addressed throughout the design process so that a robust safety case can be produced. - Interpret mechanical, hydraulic and electricalrequirements to ensure that the project is designed to perform as required. - Writing of project technical documentation such as Software Specification and other technical specifications. - With support from Senior / Lead Engineer ensure that an appropriateamount of analysis / calculations have been performed on the sub-system / project. - Interface with other disciplines (Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical) to ensure that the functional requirements of the assigned sub-system / project are met. Work to gaina basic understanding / appreciation of Mechanical / Hydraulic / Electrical circuit diagrams and drawings. - Work under your own initiative but when required, take technical direction and guidance from a Lead Control System Engineer, Senior Engineer / ProductLead assigned to the project. - Contribute to commissioning and test documents for sub systems / projects. - Call design reviews as and when required, take ownership of the work pack / project assigned and prepare the review in a structured way to justifyfitness for purpose of the design. - Working under the guidance of a Lead Control System Engineer / SE take delegated technical responsibility for design related tasks and activities.

**You will have**

To be successful as the Control Systems Engineer you will be knowledgeable, detail oriented and experienced in working within a multi-disciplinary design environment. Plus a healthy mix of the following:

- Engineering design and development experience, demonstrated over 2 to 5 years.
- Desirably, be a Member of a recognised Engineering body (e.g. IMechE or IET)
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary design environment.
- Up-to-date knowledge in relevant software/electrical/control technologies
- Good knowledge of regulations eg design codes, International standards etc.
