Our Finance department are seeking a **Finance Assistant **to join their hard working and dedicated team on 6 month fixed term contract.
**Role Purpose**:
To provide support to the Nurseries and existing Finance team by taking ownership of the Sales and Purchase ledger activities for our group of companies. You will also provide cover to other team members for any absences and give support to the Finance Manager as and when required. Systems currently used are Sage 200 and Famly.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supporting the purchase ledger supervisor to manage all accounting operations as required
- Allocating parent payments and supporting nursery admins chasing outstanding parent fees
- Processing invoices and supplier payments and reconciling supplier statements
- Participating in month end and year end tasks as required and ensuring deadlines are met
- Dealing with supplier/parent queries
- Process card payments onto parent accounts
- Credit card reconciliations
- Complete full bank postings (direct debits) ensuring invoices are requested when needed, ensuring aged creditors is up to date
- Complete bank reconciliations including timing differences
- Any other tasks that can be reasonably expected in relation to the role
- A strong lead in one of the Key focus arrears assigned by Purchase Ledger Supervisor, Credit Card Maintenance, Invoice processing/account set ups (Sicon/WAP), Utilities
